WHAT IS JIHADISM? : PART2 [B.27]

CHAPTER 4

RISE OF JIHADISM IN INDIA

Hello everyone,

In the last blog we talked about the concept of jihad, the types of jihad and ways to do jihad. By now jihad has been understood as a positive word but in the modern world it is considered as something which carries an extensively negative vibe. What is the reason behind this bleak perspective of jihad? But before I start this blog, if you are new to the blog, I recommend you to read the previous theories explained by me for better understanding.

JIHADISM

Let's get started,

In this blog I will talk about the philosophy  and the core concept of jihad in India which is interconnected to the idea of khilafat. Khilafat movement was historically a movement of Muslims around the end of first world war and later re-immersed as ISIS in 2014.The idea of both the movements is very similar and the objective behind them is  restoration of khilafat or the rule of Islamic Khalifa. There are mainly two sources that tell us the detail about the ideology of jihad.

1. Study of idea of khilafat and the khilafat movement. The peer movement like JEL are influenced by the idea of  Abdul ala madudi who is an Islamic scholar and also the founder of JEL. His studies also provide us about the idea of jihadism.

2.Contemporary study of the idea behind GAZWA-E-HIND and ISIS.

The khilafat movement started with the dissolution of the ottoman empire. In 1919, after the end of the first world war. This was seen as an outrageous movement all around the world. Muslims all over the world rallied for restoration of Khalifa. This movement was backed by Gandhi ji but unfortunately turned into annihilation against Hindu in a communal violence like Moplah riots, the violence was an extended version of the movement in Kerala. This incident created a discord between the then government and khilafat movement's leaders. After this incident the radical islamisation in  India  increased. The rebellions attacked  Hindu landlords of the region. The leaders of this rebellion Variyankunnath Kunjahammid Haji, Ali Muslaiyar have now emerged as idols of CAA protestors in Jamia Islamia University and Shaheen Bagh etc.

The crystallization of extreme Islamic ideologies under Abdul madudi gave a fillip to the ideology of jihad. Jihad fi sabilillah is explained by Madudi's works which insists on altering people through medium of speeches and in written form ,which is also a type of jihad as explained in the last blog, not only this, for the purpose of Jihad, even the use of sword is not restricted.

The objective of these ideologies behind this movement emphasizes on demolition of all the religions and system who believe in the rule of democracy. They do not believe in human law other than the law of Sharia. They consider Islam as a revolutionary ideology and not as a religion. According to them, the ultimate end is the establishment of Islam on the earth. In simple words the only religion which should be ruling  the earth is Islam.

I will be continuing in the blog that how this ideology is spreading in India at a very fast pace and very few of us are aware of it. Until then do not forget to like, share and subscribe to the blog. Do not forget to visit my archives page where you will find shreds of evidences for better understanding. TSCB ARCHIVES
