James Bond of India- Ajit Doval (B.18)

James bond movies have been a part of our childhood and most of us have loved watching those characters and I am quite sure that many times the thought of experiencing these characters in real life has struck our minds. Listening to stories about a hero who lives in an enemy country as an undercover agent is quite engrossing. Let me introduce you to a similar story of a real-life Indian hero who is the current National Security Adviser of India and an ex- RAW agent – Mr Ajit Doval.

In one of the previous blogs, I told you that I will reveal some of our hidden and forgotten heroes. So this is my second blog of the series of forgotten heroes

SECULARISM and much more...

To summarize Ajit Doval in one blog is really a difficult job for me. His achievements and dedication towards our country are worth writing a novel. But I will try to highlight some of his achievementsthat every Indian should be proud of.

Doval was born on 20th January 1945, in a small village of Uttarakhand. His father was an army officer. He became an IPS officer in 1967. He rendered his services in the Indian police services for only 7 years and then he joined the intelligence bureau of India. In 2005, he retired as the director of the intelligence bureau.

But what makes him the super cop of India? To understand his character I will share some of the incidents of his life.

1. Elimination of Khalistan's terrorists:

In the late 1980s, some radicalized people wanted Punjab and other parts of India to be a separate nation as  "Khalistan". They gained support from the ISI of Pakistan, which was very obvious. This movement was called the Khalistani movement.  This movement became more radicalized after the Sikh riots. (If you are not aware of Sikh riots I will be making a separate blog for this)

To counter the militants, operation blue star was conducted by the Indian commandos, and soon after this Indira Gandhi was assassinated. But still, even after this operation, many militants were active inside the golden temple. To eliminate this problem one more operation was conducted by the Indian army which was known as "Black Thunder".

In this operation, Ajit Doval played a very prominent role, he became a rickshaw puller and used to roam around the Golden Temple. His work was to collect and retrieve information about the Khalistan movement and send them back to the Indian army but he was found suspicious after 10 days.

The terrorist in order to confirm his identity called him, but he managed to bluff them. He convinced them that he was an ISI agent and is present there to help the Khalistani movement. A few days after that "operation black thunder" was implemented. During the operation, he was present inside the golden temple. This shows his bravery.

2. An undercover agent in Pakistan

He also lived as a Muslim in Pakistan for 7 years to bring Daud Ibrahim back to India. I am providing a video to you where he is sharing his experience of Pakistan.

He not only retrieved information but helped India to avoid many terrorist attacks. He is a person of immense knowledge and plays a very important role when it is about India's defence. He is also known as a tough negotiator and has negotiated with many terrorists. The most important one was during the Kandhar flight highjack.

3
Appointment as NSA :

When the new Modi government was formed, he was appointed as the 5th "NSA" or (National Security advisor) on 30th May 2014.  Soon after his appointment, a piece of news came from Iraq that 46 nurses were trapped.

A movie was also made on this incident starring Salman Khan. In the safe rescue of all 46 nurses, Doval played a very crucial role. What he did is still hidden but he ensured that every nurse was safely rescued.

His greatest ever achievement was the successful implementation of all the surgical strikes (Mayanmar, POK, Balakot). He decided to devote his life at an early age, but still very few of us are aware of his works. Currently, he is 75 , and still working for the betterment of our country.

I hope this blog helped you to understand the importance of this man, If yes then don't forget to like, and SUBSCRIBE to the blog. Stay connected for the upcoming blogs.
