3. Farmers can enjoy more freedom -  In every state of India, there is an APMC act that is implemented. According to this act, farmers are only allowed to sell their crops in their local crop market (मंडी ). For example, a farmer of Indore is only allowed to sell his crops in the local crop market of Indore but after this ordinance, a farmer will be independent and he can sell his crops anywhere in the country.

  • This will resolve many problems which are prevailing in India with respect to the agricultural sector. Let's understand this with an example, this year there is an adequate amount of rice in UP to meet the demands and on the other hand, there is a situation of drought in Rajasthan, the state does not have a sufficient amount of rice to meet their demand.
  •  Now, due to the APMC act, neighbouring states will have different prices for the same commodity. In Rajasthan, the price of rice will be high because of the low supply, and on the contrary, due to high supply, farmers will be forced to sell their crops at a very low MSP( Minimum Support Price).
  • After the implementation of this act, a farmer of UP can sell his crops in Rajasthan and will receive the higher MSP, and the purchaser can approach UP for rice in order to buy at low prices.

This will keep the prices even in both the states and will give an opportunity to the farmer to increase his income.

4.  No land will be at Stake: This is one of the most important points in the entire bill. The government has clearly stated that in any kind of dispute, farmer's land will not be involved. This is an important step that will give a sense of safety to the farmers. The responsibility of resolving the issue is now in the hands of SDM or district collector.

I believe the aforementioned points, which are the key highlights of this act, were easy to understand.
But there is a heavy protest against till bill, so let's try to assess what are the reasons for this protest.

There are basically 2 genuine reasons:

1. Fear of Corporatization: Many farmers are not educated in India and they don't have enough understanding to comprehend the elusive nature of the corporate world. The big enterprise may bluff them and can acquire their land. This has happened in big developed countries like UK, France, and the USA. Our government should be clear on how it's going to tackle this problem if it ever occurs.

2. No legal authority to regulate:  If a buyer purchases crops outside the crop market or the mandi he/she/it (organization) is not liable to pay any tax. There will be no accountability of transactions that can be harmful to farmers and the government has not provided any relevant clarification on this issue.

Did I say, two reasons?? Oh, then there's a third reason too, that is proving to be quite effective- Rumours

Once again the opposition parties of India and anti-Modi government organizations have been successful in spreading false and misleading information.

  • MSP is scrapped: Many political leaders and organizations have convinced the farmers that there will be no minimum support price which has resulted in the protest. Union agriculture minister Shree Narendra Singh Tomar has clearly specified that the scrapping of MSP is complete nonsense and false propaganda of the opposition.
  • Farmers will have to roam door to door for payment: This is again a piece of false information because it is clearly stated that 2/3 of the payment done by eCommerce sites should be made on the spot and the remaining within 3 days.

As per my opinion, this bill is a revolutionary step in the betterment of farmers only if it is implemented well and the flaws are properly taken care of.

A MESSAGE TO ALL MY READERS:💡

Our country is witnessing a series of protests and riots one after the other and the main reason is the lack of awareness, the spread of rumours from social media and other sources, and most importantly our negligence towards these issues. We all read information from the web and social media and without even investigating the source and authenticity of that information we believe that it is true, We form our perspective, and once the perspective is formed we become rigid. We believe that our ideology and beliefs are correct and every other person who doesn't support our ideology is either wrong or brainwashed.

It is a humble request to all my readers that there is a power working day and night to destroy the integrity of our nation. I will try to disclose each and everything in upcoming blogs but for now, all you can do is, stop making perception from what you see on social media and don't believe everything you see on the web.

If you like my content please support me with your reactions, do share it as much as you can to stop the transmission of rumours. Do not forget to subscribe to the blog for fresh notifications. Stay connected for the upcoming blogs.
