What is the Religion of India?? [B.3]

"A religion is a social-cultural system of designated behaviours and practices, morals, worldviews, texts, sanctified places, prophecies, ethics, or organizations, that relates humanity to supernatural, transcendental, or spiritual elements"

As per the last blog "Hindu is a geographical identity and not a religion" but after this, some valid questions should hit our minds, if Hindu is not a religion then what was the religion of ancient India before all the invasions occurred?  what is the main religion of India followed by the majority, if not Hinduism?? Let's break it into simple parts and understand.

What is the eligibility of a religion?

Everyone is familiar with the fact that India is a diverse nation and so there are 'n' number of religions followed here. After every 50 km, we find that a different religion is practised. Hence, going along with the definition now, we can surely understand that there is no specific religion that is followed in India.

For example, some people living in tribal areas worship a deity and some offer their prayers to rivers, mountains & even a tree. It has been a tradition in Indian culture of worshipping the five elements of the Earth. Therefore there is a tremendous amount of distinction in practices done by people.

The whole functioning of Hinduism works the same as the definition of religion stated above. Hinduism provides a system to its people to worship in the manner they want. Let's understand this in a very simple way - in a family, a father and a son have the freedom of choice to worship any form of god they wish to, without any interference, because in this system of belief nobody is forced to worship any deity or god and everyone is taught there are infinite number of ways to seek God.

Thus I conclude by saying that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of living.
